Code of Conduct

Alliander aims to be the best service provider for its customers and wants to help create a better society in the regions in which we operate. In addition to supplying good products and services, this above all concerns the manner in which we do our work, with a central focus on our core values: ‘committed, reliable and the best’.

Being ‘committed, reliable and the best’ means we naturally comply with all laws and regulations. In addition, we have drawn up supplementary guidelines to underline what we expect from employees. Our intention is not to put employees in a rigid straitjacket, but to make it clear how we work at Alliander. These guidelines are set out in a Code of Conduct. The Alliander Code of Conduct formally lays down how we deal with our business partners, commercial and personal interests, company property, (confidential) company information and safety as well as each other within Alliander.

Compliance with the rules in the Code of Conduct is not voluntary. Rules are made to be observed. Just as Alliander rewards employees with the remuneration they deserve for their performance, so the Code of Conduct and accompanying documents (Research Protocol and Sanctioning Guideline) provide Alliander with instruments for taking measures against undesirable behaviour. In this way we protect our customers, business associates, reputation and, above all, each other. And in this way, we jointly create a safe working environment.

We expect every Alliander employee to comply with this Code of Conduct and, where necessary, to remind colleagues of the importance of compliance.
