Suppliers make an important contribution to our final products. The procurement department maintains Alliander’s relationships with it’s suppliers and informs (potential) suppliers about Alliander’s Procurement policies.
The Procurement policy of Alliander is based on and aiming at:
Alliander is a contracting entity in the context of the European “special sectors” directive 2004/17/EC and directive 2004/18/EC. Above certain thresholds, laid down in these directives, the procurement process of Alliander meets the requirements of the European legislation. Below these thresholds Alliander follows a complementary procurement policy. This policy includes a.o. the national tendering procedure and the simple and multiple private tendering procedures. Alliander increasingly makes use of electronic tendering. Contract award is usually based on the most economically advantageous tender (MEAT)
Tender notices and notices on qualification systems may be found on the following websites:
Alliander aims to buy as sustainable as possible. This means that for every purchase cost and sustainability are carefully weighed. Alliander requires its suppliers to sign the Alliander Code of Conduct and to demonstrate to act accordingly.
Alliander operates in a constantly innovating environment and has extensive knowledge and innovative strength. Many of our suppliers also innovate their products and services. Alliander strives for bundling its own innovative strength with that of its suppliers to reach mutual value creation. For this reason Procurement executes an active policy focussing on co-develeopment projects with its suppliers.
Alliander uses General Purchase Conditions. These Purchase Conditions apply to all offers and all agreements for the sale of goods and/or the provision of services by suppliers to Alliander, unless explicitely agreed upon otherwise. In addition to the General Purchase Conditions the Logistics Conditions apply in case of delivery of goods to the Alliander (Liander Logistics) warehouse or on an Alliander building or installation site. For procurement activities, the Alliander CSR policy is translated into the Code of Conduct for Suppliers. The text of all three documents mentioned herein can be downloaded below.
