We work daily to provide a reliable, affordable and sustainable energy supply. This is something we don’t do alone but by building on the quality of suppliers, our partners in business. As well as supplying products and services, our suppliers also help us to pursue responsible business operations. Together, we can make the energy chain more transparent and sustainable.
We make our procurement as sustainable as possible. Our aim is for at least 40% of our technical materials to be sustainably procured by 2020. This means that all the raw materials we consume must be recycled and nothing must be wasted.
Doing business with due regard for the environment is something we also expect from our suppliers on the basis of agreements concluded in the context of the Alliander Code of Conduct for Suppliers. We ask our suppliers to demonstrate their commitment to sustainability by registering with the sustainable procurement organisation FIRA and by signing socially responsible procurement agreements with our strategic partners.
