Menno Snel appointed as member, and intended chair, of Alliander’s Supervisory Board

Menno Snel will join Alliander’s Supervisory Board with immediate effect. Following the General Meeting of Shareholders in April 2026, Menno will also take on the role of chair, succeeding Annemarie Jorritsma. 

“It is an honour to join Alliander’s Supervisory Board as the intended chair. I am very much looking forward to continuing the work to build a sustainable, reliable and affordable energy system, together with my fellow Supervisory Board members, the Management Board and the leadership team,” says Menno Snel. 

Menno Snel is currently a partner and advisor at FGS Global, an international strategic communications agency. He has extensive managerial experience in both the public and private sectors, combined with in-depth knowledge of the energy market and a strong engagement with social challenges. He has previously held roles including State Secretary for Finance, director of pension fund ABP, chair of the Supervisory Board of Royal IHC and Chairman of Element NL.

Following this appointment, the Supervisory Board is now made up of the following members: Annemarie Jorritsma (chair), Frits Eulderink, Thessa Menssen, Gerard Penning, Marinka Nooteboom and Menno Snel.
