Focus of our startup program

We collaborate with startups and scaleups that develop solutions that are relevant for the strategic challenges and opportunities we face in the energy transition. For this program, we are focused on startups that can support us in making better use of the available capacity in our existing electricity grid. More specifically, we are looking for startups with promising hardware and software solutions within the following three domains.

  • Domain 1 - Dynamic customer demand forecasting

We are looking for solutions that can help us to accurately predict the grid usage of our individual customers and/or facilitate our customers to make and share these predictions themselves. These predictions will allow us to optimize the distribution of remaining capacity at non-traditional agreements, so called non-firm capacity agreements.

  • Domain 2 - Energy Hubs

We are looking for solutions that can support energy hubs and Local Energy System communities in their formation and organization, e.g. tools for exploration & matching, design, realisation and exploitation.

  • Domain 3 - Real-time grid monitoring

We are looking for solutions that can help us to determine the condition and load capacity of all critical components in the chain (e.g. cables, transformers and switchgear) for dynamic grid management, condition-based maintenance and stressing our assets.
